Rit is a Belgian ride-hailing platform built on one simple belief: the driver who does the work should keep the most. We charge drivers a flat €1 per trip — nothing more. No percentage cuts. No surprises.

Our mission

Belgium's ride-hailing market is dominated by platforms that take 25–30% of every fare. On a €12 trip, a driver on those platforms earns less than €9. That driver pays for the car, the fuel, the insurance, the licence — and still hands over nearly a third of the fare to a platform headquartered thousands of kilometres away.

We think that's wrong. Rit was founded to change it. We charge a single flat fee of €1 per completed trip. On that same €12 trip, a Rit driver earns €11 — 22% more than on competing platforms. That difference compounds over hundreds of trips a month.

How Rit works for drivers

The economics are straightforward by design:

• The Platform calculates a competitive market fare based on distance, duration, and vehicle category
• The Passenger pays that fare
• Rit deducts exactly €1.00
• The Driver receives the remainder

No percentage. No surge commission. No hidden deductions. If demand is high and fares rise, the driver earns more — Rit's fee remains €1.

How Rit works for passengers

Because drivers earn more per trip, they are motivated to accept more rides, stay available longer, and provide better service. For passengers this means shorter wait times, professional drivers, and fares that are transparent before you confirm — no hidden charges.

• Economy — affordable everyday rides
• Comfort — premium saloon or estate vehicles
• Van — up to 8 passengers or large luggage
• XL — executive large vehicles for comfort and space

Belgian by design

Rit is built specifically for Belgium. Every Driver on the Platform holds a valid Belgian taxi licence issued by the Flemish, Brussels, or Walloon transport authority. We verify all driver documents before activation — licence, insurance, vehicle registration, and background check.

Our pricing reflects Belgian operating costs, Belgian traffic patterns, and Belgian regulatory requirements. We are incorporated under Belgian law, our data is stored on European infrastructure, and we operate under full GDPR compliance.

Transparency

We believe in showing all parties exactly what they are paying and earning. Before a passenger confirms a trip, they see the full estimated fare broken down by vehicle category. Before a driver accepts a trip, they see the estimated passenger fare and the €1 platform fee that will be deducted. No surprises after the fact.
